is a for-profit company that was founded to advance the adoption of apprenticeship programs by small business by providing an end-to-end solution for creating a company apprenticeship program.
Apprenticeships are the quintessential form of training. Traditionally an unpaid form of training, this is no longer the case. According to apprentice.gov, this change ensures wider participation in apprenticeship programs than would be the case if they were unpaid. The primary focus of this platform is to afford small businesses the tools necessary to set up an apprenticeship program.
Registered Apprenticeship is a proven “earn and learn” model with a nationally recognized credential system that provides workers with on-the-job learning experience, job-related technical instruction with a mentor, and a clear pathway to a good-paying job. Registered Apprenticeships are industry-vetted and approved, and validated by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) or a State Apprenticeship Agency. These programs have key advantages for employers and workers, in particular: Helping employers attract, train, and retain a skilled and diverse workforce. Studies have shown that employers reap at least a $1.47 return for every dollar spent on Registered Apprenticeships through higher revenue, greater worker productivity and retention, and reduced recruitment and overtime costs. Allowing workers to earn wages as they learn and providing a pathway into in demand sectors. Of workers who complete a Registered Apprenticeship, 93 percent are employed upon completion, earning an average starting wage of $77,000 annually. Registered Apprenticeship programs are already established in many infrastructure industries, including construction, energy, transportation, and advanced manufacturing.
